The fifth annual will take place Tuesday through Thursday May 19-21 in Anchorage. Join researchers, industry leaders, policymakers and investors from across the world as the energy transition unfolds and emerging technologies advance.
Conference topics will explore the future of energy in 乐虎直播 and on a global scale, how to meet the increasing energy demand from surging data centers, and artificial intelligence.
Erlingur Gudleifsson is among the and will be on a panel moderated by Clay Koplin, 鈥淒istributed Data Centers and Stranded Energy: A Model for 乐虎直播,鈥 which will explore how distributed data centers can unlock the value of 乐虎直播鈥檚 abundant stranded energy.
Gudleifsson will talk about how Iceland鈥檚 data center industry has grown in a small, isolated part of the North Atlantic, where there is extra renewable energy that can be easily turned on or off. Initially enabled by access to low-cost interruptible power, the sector has evolved into one of the fastest-growing electricity-consuming industries in Iceland.
Gudleifsson is a researcher at ACEP and a Ph.D. student at UAF and Koplin is CEO of and a Ph.D. student at UAF.
