Wilderness First Aid courses

Outdoor Adventures will be hosting two WMA Wilderness First Aid courses this month. A weekend course is offered on Feb. 21-22, and a weekday course is available Feb. 23-24.

This 16+ hour backcountry medicine course provides students with the tools and skills to solve problems and make decisions while out in the �ֻ�ֱ��n backcountry. During this course, you will get information about first aid in a wilderness context. This includes assessing the severity of a medical problem, whether it is fixable in the field, and what evacuation, assistance, or resources are needed to resolve it. WMA provides this course curriculum. CPR/AED training is not included in this course.

This course is a must for anyone who spends time out in the woods in �ֻ�ֱ�� and is open to UAF students and members of the public. It costs $285.
