This 2024 painting by Ayona-Reily Dixon, created with acrylic and medium on canvas, is titled “Esoteric.”

Art exhibition “Nunaillisi Aŋnaq” by Ayona-Reily Dixon will be on view Nov. 2-13 at the Àֻ¢ֱ²¥.

Dixon, an undergraduate student at UAF, uses large paintings alongside small works on paper to explore relationships between the land, body and home. Through repetitive form, texture and color, her abstract works make intangible experiences visible and invite viewers to reflect on home in their own lives.

This free exhibition takes place in Room 313 of the Fine Arts Complex and is open Monday–Friday from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. An opening reception will be held on First Friday, Nov. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m.
