The University of ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ Museum of the North is offering behind-the-scenes tours to visitors this summer. Participants will get exclusive tours of the museum's labs and workspaces, where collection managers and curators take care of 2.5 million objects and specimens.

The museum’s collections represent millions of years of biological diversity and thousands of years of cultural traditions in the North. Visitors can watch scientists, historians, and artists who are working with the collections and ask about their research. There will be an opportunity to receive snapshots from the tour, as well.

Behind the Scenes Tours are offered Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 a.m. through Aug. 15. There will be no tour on July 4. Tours are $10 per person and are first-come, first-serve. For more information, call 474-7505 or visit bit.ly/uamnbts.
