UAF School of Education students receive CARTA scholarship

The Central ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ Retired Teachers Association selected two University of ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ Fairbanks School of Education students as recipients of the prestigious Marie Paxon Educator Scholarship. Stefanida Martushev of Homer, ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥, and Trevor Guernsey of Sterling, ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥, will each receive $2,500 for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Founded more than 50 years ago, CARTA supports ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥â€™s education community by advocating for education legislation and providing meaningful assistance to pre-service teachers in Southcentral ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥.
