JOB SUMMARY
The will provide critical analysis to senior management, in support of Company鈥檚 goals of fleet optimization and return on capital. This position requires a deep understanding of heavy equipment and truck fleet operations and fleet lifecycle management..
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Prepare and analyze fleet cost and utilization, in establishing fleet optimization strategies to maximize return on capital
- Prepare financial models to assess return on capital of fleet investments through discounted cash flow modeling (NPV, IRR)
- Prepare and maintain operating dashboards and reports, highlighting key fleet metrics regarding total cost of ownership, maintenance costs & trends, etc.
- Support the monthly and annual forecast/budget process and month-end accounting close process for equipment business lines
- Partner with operations to identify cost optimization strategies, improve asset utilization, and facilitate preventive maintenance planning of fleet through data-driven insights.
- Analyze historical maintenance and repair data to forecast future costs and support capital planning
- Project future equipment replacement needs and determine the optimal replacement timing for each asset based on cost and performance.
- Track and analyze performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations to enhance fleet performance.
- Ensure all accounting and financial activities are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Company policies and procedures.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments within the Company.
- Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Must have a minimum of 5 years related experience required
- Proficiency with Power BI, Alteryx, and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with financial modeling and forecasting required
- Able to communicate effectively with higher levels of management.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience with FleetFocus Fleet Management.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE
While working on the North Slope of 乐虎直播, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have its own accommodation and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The physical demands and work environment requirements outlined below are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. A post-offer, pre-hire Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to ensure an employee鈥檚 ability to safely meet job standards. The intern will assist the with a variety of emergency planning functions. Specific program activities include emergency plans development, research, data entry, and assisting with community outreach activities.
SALARY: $15.00/hr.
REPORTS TO: Emergency Manager
POSITIONS SUPERVISED: None

1. Coordinates with borough departments, local communities, response agencies, and private industry to assist with the development of emergency response plans and EOC standard operating guidelines.
2. Monitors national, state, and local legislative issues that affect emergency management and Homeland Security and submits written briefs to Emergency Manager.
3. Develops and fosters working relationships with all area emergency response agencies and organizations.
4. Maintains accurate records of all position-related expenditures, training, certifications, exercises, etc. for state and federal grant reporting requirements.
5. Updates stakeholder, community resources and critical infrastructure lists through data entry.
6. Assists with community preparedness outreach activities.
7. Develops and assists with implementing mitigation plans.
8. Assist on updating and developing emergency plans through research and drafting plan content.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Currently enrolled in the 乐虎直播 (UAF) Homeland Security & Emergency Management (HSEM) Program as a Junior or Senior who has preferably taken or currently taken HSEM 423 (Disaster Response Operations and Management). HSEM F412 (Emergency Planning and Preparedness) and HSEM 434 (All-Hazards Risk Analysis) are desirable. Sophomores may apply and will be considered based on their completed courses if no Juniors or Seniors apply.
2. Completion of the following FEMA鈥檚 National Incident Management System (NIMS) Independent Study (IS) Courses (current courses) preferably prior to start or within the first 90 days of hire.: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, and IS-800.
3. Completion of FEMA鈥檚 IS Professional Development Series (current courses) preferably prior to start or within the first 90 days of hire.: IS-120, IS-230, IS-235, IS-240, IS-241, IS-242, and IS-244.
4. A Copy of FEMA Transcript is required within the first 90 days of hire.
5. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required; Access, and PowerPoint experience preferred.
6. Must have and be able to maintain a valid driver鈥檚 license. Must meet insurance standards and maintain insurability under the Borough's insurance program. If personal automobile is used for Borough business, proof of automobile insurance at statutory limits must be provided. (A CURRENT COPY OF DRIVING RECORD WILL BE REQUIRED UPON REQUEST.)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1. Demonstrated ability to handle situations in a calm manner and an ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
2. Familiarity with the stakeholders involved in emergency management.
3. Ability to effectively communicate (oral presentation and in writing).
4. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationship with staff, the general public, volunteers and emergency responders, boards and commissions, public and private groups, as well as local, state, military, and federal governmental agencies.
5. Basic knowledge of organization of FNSB government and 乐虎直播 Statutes pertaining to local government.
OTHER
1. This position requires a criminal background check.
2. A writing sample related to HSEM between two and three pages is required to be submitted with the application.
3. A letter of recommendation from the UAF HSEM Program Director or UAF HSEM Program Professor is required with the application.
4. A copy of the UAF school transcript is required with the application.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
General office where conditions are pleasant, good and clean. Conditions where accidents/hazards are negligible, minor accident probability; requires short periods of light lifting, pushing or pulling (1-50 lbs.).
