UAF Student Success Center construction kicks off

Construction on the new UAF Student Success Center will kick off on Monday, Aug. 21. Contractors from GHEMM Company, LLC will erect fencing around the south side of the Rasmuson Library to serve as their staging area. The walking deck around the library will also be closed.

Aug. 9, 2023 update: The road closure was delayed by smoke on Aug. 7 and the thunderstorm Aug. 8. Taku and North Tanana will be closed today thru Thursday night and possibly into Friday, Aug. 11. Portions of North Tanana Drive and Taku Drive will be closed from Aug. 7 at 7 a.m. through Aug. 9 at 6 p.m. to make road repairs. Detours will be posted to guide vehicles around the closure.
