New URSA funding opportunities for 2023-24 opening July 31

The Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activity is pleased to announce three new funding opportunities for the 2023-24 school year. Each opportunity will open for applications on July 31, 2023, and close on Sept. 10, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. Funds for each award must be spent by June 15, 2024.

Registration open for Visual Art Academy

The ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ Department of Art in collaboration with the College of Liberal Arts will host the 19th annual Summer Visual Art Academy, an intensive visual arts program for students from grades 6-12. Students will select their preferred areas of interest and will be assigned to classes prior to the beginning of the academy.

In 2020, the U.S. Department of Education updated regulatory definitions of distance learning within the Distance Education and Innovation Ruling that all higher education institutions receiving Title IV funds must comply with. The regulation became effective July 1, 2021, and requires that for all online courses for which students may use federal financial aid (Title IV funds), there is "regular and substantive interaction between students and instructors."
